Police conducted a traffic stop Saturday morning around 11:45 in the parking lot of McDonald’s on Tusculum Boulevard.
The driver was identified as Jeremy Miller of Gary, Indiana, whose license was suspended.
Passengers in the vehicle were identified as Ronnie Britt and James D. Riessen both of Johnson City, and neither having valid driver’s licenses. The tag on the vehicle showed as invalid. Britt was found to have a Violation of Probation warrant out of Washington County.
After a K-9 officer alerted for the odor of narcotics on the vehicle, officers found a backpack that contained 11 grams of meth, .5 grams of cocaine, 3 grams of Marijuana, a glass
pipe, metal straw, and multiple baggies.
All three were placed under arrest for Manufacture, Delivery or Sale of Methamphetamine, Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Schedule 2 and Schedule 6 drugs. Miller was additionally charged with Driving on a Suspended License, Driving while in Possession of
Meth, violation of the Muffler Law, and Improper Display of Registration.
