The Hampton Inn reported theft from a motor vehicle on Monday morning after the victim staying at the hotel said his truck was broken into overnight.
The victim, who is a contractor with a company from Texas was staying in the hotel and said his truck bed cover was cut, with his tools and building supplies missing. Video footage confirmed someone came to the parking lot around 10 PM the night before, walked to the bed of the truck a couple times, and then brought a vehicle over before pulling away.
The items stolen totaled about $4,800. No suspects were known at the time.
