The Greene County Regional Planning Commission met yesterday afternoon and approved a revision of the plat for the Greeneville Energy Authority Property, which is the Mountain View Substation.
The revision, requested by Greeneville Light and Power, was for the removal of the drainage and utility easement note on that plat. It was approved, subject to the notation on drainage from the engineer, Daniel Coffey with Azimuth Engineering. The electrical substation located adjacent to the Asheville Highway and Gaby Circle, is two lots totaling 1.45 acres.
The planning commission approved several subdivisions including the Peters and Shipley Property Partition, located adjacent to Silverleaf Lane. The property is 4.5 acres, will be combined with road frontage and another 47 acres of land, according to Amy Tweed, Greene County Planning Coordinator.
The Pointe Subdivision was approved, with two lots being combined totaling 1.79 acres adjacent to River Pointe Drive. With the approval there will need to be a new lot line established and is subject to a variance.
Furthermore, the Property Survey was approved for a portion of the William Douglas Brown Farm totaling 3 acres and adjacent to Grassy Creek Road. The 3 acres is a portion of 209 acres according to Tweed, and will be cut out as one existing lot.
