Two people were injured in an accident Monday around 8:30 PM on Asheville Highway.
A Chevrolet S10 driven by 44-year-old Jamie Hamm stopped to make a left turn into the parking lot of Creekside Market. A GMC Yukon driven by 22-year-old Chelsey Luttrell reportedly failed to stop and struck the rear of Hamm’s truck.
The truck was pushed off the roadway to the left as it overturned one time before landing back upright. Luttrell’s vehicle ran off the roadway to the right and struck a rock before coming to a stop.
Luttrell and Hamm were both injured in the wreck. A passenger in Hamm’s truck, 35-year-old McKenzie Munro, was not injured.
Charges against Luttrell are pending, according to the accident report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
