A Bulls Gap woman was arrested on a warrant following an investigation into a pair of dogs killing several chickens at nearby properties.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department went to the 1600 block of Mohawk Ridge Road around 8:30 Saturday morning after a man said he saw two dogs attacking his chickens. The man said when the dogs came out of the coop, he shot and killed them. Another neighbor said she had eight chickens killed by the same dogs.
Officers went to the home of 39-year-old Shaunilia McGhee, who identified the deceased dogs as belonging to her. A records check showed that McGhee had a warrant for failure to appear, and she was taken to the Greene County Detention Center.
