A Tornado Watch is in effect for Greene County and surrounding counties until 8:00 tonight, while a High Wind Warning Remains in effect until 6:00 Saturday morning.
Strong storms are expected to impact the area late this afternoon and evening, as sustained southwest winds from 25 to 40 miles per hour are expected. Gusts up to 60 miles per hour are possible.

Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines, and widespread power outages are expected. The saturated ground from recent rainfall will make conditions more susceptible to the downing of trees.
Anyone outside should avoid forested areas and being around trees and branches. Caution should also be used while driving as many roads that had water recede yesterday may become flooded again.
