A Greene County woman reported that someone used her identity to take out a loan.
The victim said Wednesday that she had received payment notifications in the mail on a loan, and thought at first that it was a scam. When the woman investigated, she discovered that a loan in the amount of $10,000 had been made in her name through a financial institution in Michigan.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
