The Greene County Sheriff’s Department is investigating an attempted theft at Malone’s Wrecker Service on Kingsport Highway early Tuesday morning.
An employee noticed a man in the lot shortly after 1:00 AM when the camera alarm went off. While walking to that area, the employee saw the man take off running from a white Ford truck in the lot.
Video surveillance footage showed that there were two suspects, who both took off running. The owner was advised that a report would be conducted and to call back if anyone else came around. Deputies searched the area, but did not see the suspects.
