A man from Greeneville was arrested yesterday about 12 PM after he trespassed a residence on South Cutler Street and started destroying items in the garage while behaving aggressively towards the home owner.
Officers responded after the victim was able to call 911. The suspect, Corey Sweat of Lyle Circle, was seen by one of the residents walking into their yard and go into the garage. Sweat began breaking items. The homeowner and son entered the garage and sweat began walking towards them with a box cutter after kicking a shelf. He then picked up a pitchfork and started threatening to break more items in the garage.
The owner was able to go inside the home and call 911. Officers arrived and arrested Sweat and charged him with aggravated assault.
