Northwest flow and colder air move in behind a cold front today.
Temperatures will drop to about 35 by 5 PM with lows at night in the mid 20’s. Lingering precipitation will transition over to snow across the highest elevations of the east TN Mountains, where 1 to 2 inches of snow are possible, mainly above 3000 feet. The highest peaks could receive up to 4 inches.
It will be a sunny weekend with temperatures near 50 Saturday and 60 Sunday. As the week progresses temperatures will rise up into the 70’s but there is potential for more rain next week.
