The Andrew Johnson National Historic Site is accepting applications for two weekend volunteer positions working for the Division of Interpretation and Visitor Services.
The National Park Service is looking to fill two part-time volunteer positions assisting park staff interpret the life and times of our 17th president. The park is seeking two candidates, who are willing to work four hours a day, two weekends a month. Candidates selected for these non-paid volunteer positions will be trained to work in the park visitor center, welcoming and orienting visitors, and trained in interpretation with the goal of assisting staff with present guided tours of the historic Andrew Johnson Homestead and cemetery.
The work experience gained by the selected volunteers will prove invaluable for competing for future National Park Service Seasonal Interpretive Park Ranger positions at other NPS sites across the country.
