The Greene County Civil Service Board and the Greene County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a civil service examination on Thursday, February 16 at the Greene County Courthouse.
The test, for the position of deputy sheriff-corrections officer, will begin promptly at 6:00 PM. Candidates must be present no later than 5:45 PM with a photo identification.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. Citizen, a high school graduate or possess a GED, and have no criminal record. Candidates must also possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license, be able to pass a physical and psychological examination and be of good moral character. Additional requirements may apply.
Applications may be obtained at the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, 116 East Depot Street, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Completed applications must be turned in at the Sheriff’s Department no later than noon Wednesday, February 15.
