A woman was arrested yesterday for driving under the influence on the Asheville Highway.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded about 5 PM to 7904 Asheville Highway after someone reported they were rear-ended. According to the report, both the complainant and suspect pulled over into a parking lot after the incident.
Deputies spoke with the suspect, Sharon Cutshall of Greeneville, who appeared to be under the influence as she had slurred speech. She later admitted to taking Xanax as well. After performing poorly on sobriety tests, she was placed in custody for suspicion of driving under the influence.
