Deputies responded to Rolling Hills Road last night on a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
The complainant called dispatch regarding a vehicle that ran off an embankment around 10 PM. When deputies arrived, the driver of the vehicle Michael Gladwell of Greeneville, was found unresponsive and slumped over the center console. The deputy forced entry by breaking the window as all doors were locked.
EMS and the Fire Department arrived on the scene and extracted him from the vehicle. EMS administered Narcan 3 times to Gladwell and transported him to Ballad Community Hospital.
The deputy found a small aluminum wrapper inside his jacket pocket, with a white substance. At the hospital, Gladwell was questioned on the substance found in his jacket. He states he was at Applebee’s and let someone use his jacket, and that he was not aware of any substance. According to the report from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, this is an ongoing investigation.
