A Chuckey man, who has been speaking with a woman since August 2022, could have possibly been scammed out of more than $20,000.
The victim reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department Friday, that the woman he’s been speaking with Rita Toler, is now threatening him stating she will turn him into the feds if he doesn’t give her more money.
According to the report, the victim has spoken with the suspect since August of last year and has been sending her money in the form of gift cards and bitcoin. He states in total he gave her $15,000-$25,000.
No further information was provided on the report.
