A Greeneville man taken into custody on an outstanding warrant on Sunday night was found to be in possession of drugs.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department responded to the 100 block of Chapel Street around 9:30 PM on a warrant check for Joseph Antonelli of Sulphur Springs Loop. As the officer was walking toward the front door, Antonelli walked out of a shed located next to the house.
Antonelli was taken into custody on the warrant. A cut straw with drug residue, rolling papers, and .8 grams of meth were found on Antonelli during a search.
He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center on the outstanding warrant. According to the police report, charges are pending for further investigation on the meth and drug paraphernalia.
