A female was arrested yesterday after deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to a domestic assault, resulting in an officer being assaulted.
The assault happened about 6 PM on Clay Way in Greeneville after a domestic assault was reported inside the home. The suspect fled the residence on foot prior to the deputies arrival. According to the report, the suspect was later located and fought with deputies when they attempted to detain her on the side of Whitehouse Road.
Law enforcement returned to the residence with the suspect, and she slipped through her handcuffs and assaulted another deputy by kicking him in the arms. She was charged with assault on an officer x2 and resisting arrest.
