A Greeneville woman who was previously a volunteer coach with the Greeneville/Greene County Youth Football Association has been charged with statutory rape by an authority figure.
According to a press release issued today from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department, an investigation began in October 2022 from a report that 42-year-old Myranda Stevens of Park Lane had an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old boy. Stevens was a volunteer coach with the Greeneville/Greene County Youth Football Association from August to September 2022. She was the coach of the Junior League, which consisted of players aged 13-15. During this time, Stevens reportedly developed an intimate relationship with one of the players.
Stevens has been charged with six counts of statutory rape by an authority figure. Her bond was set at $180,000. She is scheduled for arraignment in Greene County Sessions Court on Wednesday morning.
