Greeneville/Greene County EMA Director Heather Sipe provided an update today on water distribution for Chuckey Utility customers.
Sipe said that Tyson Lamb with the Chuckey Utility District has advised that his crews are finishing up with work in the higher elevations of the Horse Creek and South Central areas of Greene County. Upon that completion, customers should have full water service. As a result, Emergency Management has ceased water distribution operations.
During distributions while Chuckey Utility customers were without water, a total of 46 families were assisted, 90 household animals were provided with water, and a total of 369 gallons were distributed.
