Areas of dense are fog expected through mid morning for the northern Tennessee valley.
A strong storm system will affect the area with high winds gusting above 50 mph in and near the mountains early this morning through the afternoon.
Locally heavy rainfall and isolated flooding will be possible, mainly south of Interstate 40 with totals of 1 to 1.5 inches. Although flooding is not forecasted in our immediate area, those prone areas may become water covered. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible into the evening.
Wednesday rain might linger and it’s likely to continue with 30 % of showers in the forecast, but Thursday the rain should clear with temperatures in the 50’s.
