A man was arrested yesterday around 2 AM after officers got a call regarding a male dancing on the bypass and almost getting hit by a car.
Officers located the male, Ryan Serra of Afton, dancing near the West Andrew Johnson Highway and Lonesome Pine Trail intersection. The male was making erratic movements and appeared to be under the influence of some sort of drug and alcohol. The officers performed some tests but were unable to complete them due to Serra getting distracted, almost falling asleep and nearly falling to the ground.
The officer arrested Serra due to believing he was a danger to himself and because of his intoxication level. He was transported to the Greene County Detention Center and charged with public intoxication.
