A man was arrested with several charges after fleeing from officers due to a reported burglary.
The man identified as Raymond Webb was seen leaving a home on Chapel Street in Greeneville around 6 PM Wednesday. The officer was not able to obtain a name from the man, but did receive a social security number, which ended up being fake and belonging to a woman in Chattanooga. While attempting to identify the male, he stated he had a warrant and began running away from the officer. A Taser was deployed but was unsuccessful.
The officer was able to get a hold of the suspect and place him in handcuffs. At that point he confirmed his name was Raymond Webb with a warrant out of Greene County. 3.7 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia including baggies, a baggie with residue, weights for a scale, 3 syringes, 2 tourniquets, a spoon with residue, and a 9 mm bullet were found. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, resisting stop halt frisk, and criminal impersonation.
