A woman was arrested Monday night after she was found passed out in a vehicle.
An officer with the Greeneville Police Department responded to Greeneville Beverage on Tusculum Boulevard shortly after 9:00 PM on the report of a woman in passed out in a vehicle in the parking lot.
The vehicle was running with the woman, identified as Ashley Lyons of 70 Bypass, asleep in the front seat. The officer knocked on the window and Lyons woke up. She reportedly smelled of alcohol, reportedly admitted to drinking, and performed poorly on field sobriety tests.
A bag of marijuana was located in plain view in the seat of the vehicle. Also located was a gray substance consistent with heroin, as well as burnt foil, an empty and full bottle of vodka, a pack of beer, and a pen that appeared to be used as paraphernalia.
Lyons was arrested for possession of schedule 1 and 6 drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI 3rd offense and driving on a revoked license.
