At the Greeneville City Board of Education meeting this afternoon, the meeting will start off with recognition of Tusculum View Elementary, a Four-time National Blue Ribbon School. Recognition will also be given to Annika Vines, who placed 10th in Algebra 1 in the state of Tennessee for the Math Teachers Association.
The board will review policy revisions (2nd reading) for approval including: Alcohol & Drugs in the Workplace, Student Alcohol and Drug Testing, Emergency Closings, Class Size Ratios, and District Water Testing.
The board will also consider approval for participation in the James L. Richardson “Driver Training” Matching Grant Program from Public Entity Partners. The grant is to help encourage the establishment of a safe workplace.
Included on the agenda is also a consideration to approve donating one school bus to the Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad for training purposes by multiple emergency service departments.
The meeting will be held at 5 PM this afternoon at the Professional Development located on 129 West Depot Street.
