The Greeneville Municipal Planning Commission will meet this morning and consider granting approval for a bond regarding the Johnson Farms Residential Development located on North Rufe Taylor Road.
The Town of Greeneville Planning and Engineering Department has an estimate to cover the cost required for improvements to meet the Minimum Subdivision Regulations, for the Final Plat of Phase 1 of the Johnson Farms development. The estimate is $110,000.00. The remaining improvements included in the estimate include a 5 ft. wide sidewalk and the topcoat of asphalt for the streets.
A recommendation to the Board of Mayor and Aldermen will be made for the rezoning of a portion of a parcel of land located at 1806 West Main Street, being known as the Joy B. Trantham and Michael Bird Property. The rezoning is to construct a new Marathon Convenience Store and Gas Station, similar to the existing facility directly across the street.
There will be a consideration granting preliminary and final approval for a subdivision known as the Chris Ricker Property, located on West Barton Ridge Road. The subdivision will create 3 new lots: Lot 1 (1.85 acres); Lot 2 (0.96 acres) and Lot 3 (0.96 acres). Approval is subject to obtaining signatures from the Greeneville Water Commission due to the required extension of sanitary sewer lines to serve the property.
The Commission will also discuss staff reports on various current and pending projects.
