A woman was arrested in Greeneville this morning after a homeowner called officers to report a person was in his yard dancing.
Officer Jacob Sasscer arrived at the residence on Linda Street about 2:45 this morning and saw the women, Shiane E. Knight of Greeneville, in the yard of the residence with her hands in the air. According to the report, Knight appeared to be wet and covered in dirt. She was making incoherent statements and refusing to answer any questions from the officer.
Knight told the officer she had not taken any drugs since the day before. Due to her uncontrollable body movements and random twitching, the officer determined it was best to detain Knight, as she appeared to be under the influence and felt she might be a danger to herself and the public if left unattended.
She was arrested for public intoxication.
