A Greeneville man was charged with driving on a suspended license after wrecking his vehicle and abandoning it early Saturday morning.
Isaiah Story of Lords Lane told deputies that he was traveling on Ripley Island Road near Falcon Circle around 2:00 AM and swerved to avoid a deer. His vehicle ran off the road down a small embankment and hit a tree.
Story said he did not report the wreck at that time because he did not have money for a tow. The Greene County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene around 1:00 PM on Sunday after someone reported the abandoned wrecked vehicle.
Story met with deputies after they responded to the scene and gave his details of the accident. Story said he was unaware that his license had been suspended. He was issued a summons to appear in court for driving on a suspended license 1st offense and was also charged for driving without insurance.
