Police were dispatched to a theft in the 2400 block of East Andrew Johnson Highway early this morning.
Around 2:30 AM, officers responded to a report of a vehicle theft at Roadrunner on East Andrew Johnson Highway. The victim stated he went into the gas station to get a drink and came back out to find his Ford F1S truck was gone. The victim said witnesses in the store had told him a male wearing a white hoodie, had driven off in his truck headed east bound.
While still on the scene, officers were informed by dispatch that Tennessee Highway Patrol had located the vehicle at a restaurant on the Erwin Highway. Police took the victim to the location, and he confirmed the truck was his and that nothing seemed to have been taken.
The victim was informed that should he notices anything missing to contact the Greeneville Police Department.
