A Wind Advisory for the mountains of Southeast Greene County will be in effect from 7:00 PM tonight until 10:00 AM Saturday, according to the National Weather Service in Morristown.
South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected in the mountains and adjacent foothills. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle and secure outdoor objects.
Winds in the valley locations are expected to be between 5 and 10 miles per hour, with gusts up to 20 miles per hour.
