A man was taken into custody after he was found unresponsive in his home in Greeneville and overdosed on what the Greeneville Police Department believed to be heroin.
The departments responded to Greybark Lane yesterday around 8 AM and came into contact with the man’s mother. He was given Narcan by medical professionals at the scene. Greeneville Fire Department, EMS Personenel rendered aid to the man for the overdose and he was transported to the Greeneville Community Hospital.
According to the report, a warrant was issued for possession of the suspected heroin, which was weighed at about 1.5 grams and taken into evidence. Once discharged from the hospital, the man was taken into custody and transported to the Greene County Detention Center.
