A woman caused a disturbance at a store and then struck an employee with her vehicle Monday evening, according to Greeneville police.
Officers were called to Family Dollar on the Asheville Highway around 6:30 Monday evening and spoke to the employee, who said that the suspect had become upset over the price of chips on sale. The suspect pushed over a shelf of nail polish and left the store, with the employee following her in order to get the woman’s vehicle information.
The employee said that when she was on her way back inside the store, the suspect’s vehicle struck her in the right hip. The employee was not injured but was shaken up by the incident. The vehicle information came back to a possible suspect, and a nearby business said they would check to see if they had video footage of the incident.
