The public meeting regarding solar farms in Greene County has been postponed, and will be rescheduled for a later date.
The meeting was originally scheduled for this afternoon at the Greene County Courthouse Annex, but county planning coordinator Amy Tweed announced Sunday night that the size of the conference room at the courthouse annex was not large enough to hold the anticipated number of participants.
The purpose of the meeting is to help identify how wide-ranging the regulation of solar and renewable energy facilities should be, along with discussion of the proposal that was submitted.
The meeting will be held at the Greene County Courthouse once a date has been approved, according to organizers.
