An Erwin Highway woman reported she paid a concrete company to do a job that has not been completed.
The woman reported to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department on Thursday that she saw a truck advertising concrete services and called the number.
The suspect agreed to do concrete and landscaping work for her. They signed a written contract for $42,000 in work. The victim initially paid him $13,000 to start the job. He poured the first section of concrete and then requested to be paid another $17,000.
The victim said the suspect then began to pour concrete for her shed, did not do a good job, and still has not finished it. The victim said the suspect has not finished other parts of the job either and left her yard, as well as the landscaping, a mess.
The investigation is continuing.
