A man was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged for inhaling gas used to put animals to sleep for surgery at an animal hospital in Greeneville.
According to the report, the complainant at Vet Care Animal Hospital stated the employee, Jacob Felton of Greeneville, passed out several times at the job and said the gas used to put animals to sleep for surgery had come up short multiple times in the past. Felton was reportedly seen leaving the room where the gas is located, stumbling, could barely speak, with his eyes half closed.
Upon investigation, the machine in the surgery room, where the gas was located, was reported to be found wide open and the complainant believes Felton had been stealing the gas for some time. Felton was arrested for public intoxication, for being a danger to himself and the public, and is being charged for drug prescription fraud.
