The Greeneville Board of Mayor & Aldermen approved recommending issuance and sale of water and sewer system revenue bonds at their meeting on Tuesday.
The Board approved up to $9 million in water and sewer revenue bonds for funding capitol improvements to the water and sewer system.
According to Laura White, superintendent of the Greeneville Water Commission, they are not going to sufficiently fund upcoming projects via cash. The bonds prevent a large increase in sewer rates.
In addition, the 2020-2021 fiscal year audit for the Town of Greeneville was presented with a clean opinion.
The Greeneville Board of Mayor & Aldermen will next meet on Tuesday, February 15.
