With traffic running smoothly behind them state and local representatives cut the ribbon Monday afternoon officially reopening the I-26 bridge in Unicoi County.
The day after the flooding last September, there were 49 state routes closed. As of today 47 of the 49 are open again. Only State Route 159 in Carter and Johnson counties and State Route 353 in Washington County are still under construction.
State Senator Steve Southerland and State Representative David Hawk also spoke at the event.
